Dianthus NanoPedia Adsorption

Adsorption

Biological molecules, especially proteins can easily attach to plastic labware by adsorption. The Dianthus 384-microwell plate is coated to prevent adsorption. However, during sample preparation a lot of the utilized labware is not coated (e.g. pipette tips). Adsorption to this material can result in measurement artifacts and false-positive or false-negative results.
