Hit

Hit is a Ligand Category. In Single-Dose Screening a Ligand that is identified to cause a TRIC response that is significantly different from the Reference Sample and at the same time does not cause a negative result in Quality Checks is considered a hit, a likely binder to the target. Hits are investigated further in an Affinity Screening. Interactors in affinity screens are called Binder.
